Steve Hill’s Recommended Christian Library
Books on holiness, revival, prayer, evangelism, Christian living and biblical study.
Steve Hill kept a personal library of more than 4,000 books, including rare Christian works from the 1700s and early 1800s.
This collection represents books Steve personally recommended. Some are well-known classics. Others are nearly forgotten works that deserve to be rediscovered.
Steve preferred profound spiritual content over impressive covers. He wasn’t trying to collect books, but to find writings that would deepen his walk with God and strengthen his passion for revival.

Steve’s Advice on Building a Christian Library
Steve encouraged readers to look for older editions whenever possible. He believed modern editing sometimes removed important material from the original works.
He also knew rare books could be expensive. Each reader must decide whether the spiritual value justifies the cost. As Steve put it:
“I prefer a little more ragged cover with radical content.”
Where to Find Rare Christian Books
This collection is preserved from Steve Hill’s personal reading recommendations. Titles and author names have been lightly standardized for readability. Some older works may appear under alternate titles or in different editions.
