Are you ready for a SHIFT in 2016?

0 / 1024

SHIFT is the word we continually hear regarding this upcoming year. I believe it will be a SIGNIFICANT year SPIRITUALLY, CULTURALLY and POLITICALLY. How we navigate through it will be of utmost importance. Don’t fly blind in the days ahead!
I believe there are incredible opportunities for those willing to let go of the status quo and embrace the new. In other words, those willing to SHIFT.

The church must SHIFT
The believer must SHIFT
—Trust Me—
The world has already SHIFTED

We live in a different nation and culture since 2000. Most change has gone unnoticed until 2015. Now many are trying to figure out how to make it…that’s the wrong perspective. We must seek God’s wisdom and understanding. It’s time to contend. The days of the next great awakening are upon us.

What is taking place is far more than a new “season” it is a new “age” (more on this later). Making the most of what lies ahead requires a SHIFT in faith, focus, and thinking.
As you look ahead into the SHIFT of 2016 let me encourage you to consider the following RESOLUTIONS.

1) Start praying constantly for a spirit of wisdom and revelation. This was Paul’s continual prayer found in Eph 1:17:

“I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people, and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is the same as the mighty strength he exerted when he raised Christ from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms, far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is invoked, not only in the present age but also in the one to come. And God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church, which is his body, the fullness of him who fills everything in every way.”

2) Start mining the Scriptures for the truths that will propel you forward. A favorite reading plan of many great reformers, revivalists, and revolutionaries is this one:

3) Take “heed how you hear”. This is the key to unlocking the secrets of God’s kingdom. It is also the heart of Receptivity. If you haven’t picked it up, let me encourage you to get it and invest into your spiritual life in 2016. You will not be disappointed.

Please know that Jenna and I are praying for you and your family. 2016 will be the best year yet.

Daniel Norris

A true son of revival, Daniel Norris has been instrumental in bringing the message of repentance and reformation to the nations. His charismatic style and honest approach make him a favorite speaker among audiences of all ages. As an evangelist with the North Texas Assemblies of God, his passion is to see the church experience the power and presence of God and to see communities experience the love of Christ. Daniel is also a noted author with Destiny Image and Charisma Media. His latest book, Receptivity invites the reader to a deeper more personal relationship with their creator. After graduating from the Brownsville Revival School of Ministry, Daniel and his wife, Jenna, teamed up with evangelist Steve Hill to help plant Heartland World Ministries Church in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. For ten years they served as the directors of Redline Student Ministries, growing the youth ministry from nothing to over 350 students in just under three years. There Daniel launched the Collision Youth Conference that has ministered to thousands around the US and has been seen by millions worldwide. Not only has Daniel been honored to lead thousands to the cross through outreach events, he has also helped pioneer several Internet technologies that have reached multitudes around the world. These resources are helping lost sons and daughters come home every day to the loving arms of our Savior. In addition, Daniel assisted in the establishment of a two-year Bible school in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex that placed ministers around the globe as pastors, evangelists, and missionaries. Daniel is known to many as a pastor, evangelist, missionary, producer, and author, but he considers his greatest title to be Dad. He and Jenna live just north of Dallas, Texas, and have three beautiful children named Reijah, Caden, and Chase.
